Bulgarian Alcohol Maker Denies Interest in Media Business Bulgarian alcoholic beverage maker "Peshtera" denies any interest in getting involved in media business, the company's press office informs Thursday in a statement to the media.
The statement comes in response of an earlier TV interview where Lyubomir Pavlov accused Hristo Grozev, a partner in BG Privatinvest Ltd, of wanting to force "Peshtera's" participation in Media Group Bulgaria.
The company says their name was mentioned in an unacceptable and incorrect way.
"We cannot understand why we are mentioned in a dispute between business partners over a deal we have nothing to do with and we strongly object it. We firmly declare we have not acquired, we do not own, and we have not been offered a single share in Media Group Bulgaria. The publishing business has never been among out interests," the statement reads.
The company firmly denies having any relations with Hristo Grozev or any of his firms, saying they have been in touch with the media group only for advertisements, and their contracts have been signed long before the editions changed hands from WAZ to Grozev and Pavlov.
"Peshtera" further demand an end of the speculations and negative insinuations, otherwise they will seek legal means for defense and protection, they say.
